Erasmus+

EU programme for education, training, youth and sport

Mobility projects for vocational education and training providers

Type of funding

This type of funding can support organisations in the field of vocational education and training (VET) that wish to

  • organise learning exchanges for their learners and staff in other organisations abroad
  • host teachers who are in training, or invite experts from abroad to their organisations

Activities can include

  • for staff: job shadowing, courses, teaching or training assignments
  • for learners: learning periods abroad, or participation in skills competitions

Types of projects funded

Short term projects

Exchange activities run over a period of 6 – 18 months. These are the best choice for first time applicants or organisations wishing to organise a limited number of activities.

Accredited projects

Only open to organisations holding an Erasmus accreditation in the field of vocational education and training. This status means accredited organisations can receive regular funding for exchange activities that contribute to their Erasmus Plan (an organisation-level strategy to build its capacity through the implementation of high quality activities).

Other ways to join

Organisations can also take part in projects without submitting an application by

  • joining an existing Erasmus+ mobility consortium led by an accredited consortium coordinator in their country
  • hosting participants from another country: any organisation can become a host for learners or staff coming from a partner organisation abroad. Becoming a hosting organisation is a valuable experience and a good way to learn about how the Erasmus+ programme works.
