Individuals from Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia or Türkiye can participate in most opportunities as these non-EU countries are associated to the Erasmus+ programme.

For individuals from other non-EU countries there are some opportunities, for example Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees or the international dimension of student and staff exchange (if your university takes part) and youth exchange schemes.

You will need to check the opportunity pages for more information, as eligibility varies between opportunities.

Organisations from most countries in the world, including most African countries, can take part in the Programme. Eligibility varies from opportunity to opportunity so it is best to check the information on the relevant opportunity page, or in the Programme Guide.

The application processes for Erasmus+ vary depending on which strand of funding you are applying for and whether the funding opportunity is managed by the National Agencies or the European Education and Culture Executive Agency. Please note: Individuals applicants should not use this to determine how much they should receive in funding. These amounts are dependent on various factors, including administrative costs incurred by participating organisations and the National Agencies. 

The final decision for the amount of grant related to the distance travel will be made by the National Agency assessing the application.
