Attendees in a conference

These events were a great opportunity for the ESC to meet groups involved in the ESC, share information on updates, and pave the way for the ESC's adoption and implementation across Erasmus+ programme countries.

ECCA Annual Conference: Defining Identification & Authentication

The ECCA Annual Conference took place from 9 to 11 May at the University of Warsaw in Poland. The conference focused on the topic of "A European Student eID - Defining identification & authentication." The event provided an excellent opportunity for the ESC to engage with various stakeholders in the higher education sector.

EUNIS23 Congress: Networking Opportunities and Knowledge Sharing

Another major event was the EUNIS23 Congress held from 14 to 16 June at the University of Vigo in Spain. This congress served as a platform for a question-and-answer sessions related to the ESC and facilitated networking opportunities for the ESC at country-level.

EDSSI L2 EU Student eCard Conference &Training: Active Engagement in Berlin

The ESC also took part in the EDSSI L2 EU Student eCard Conference &Training, held in Berlin on 27 and 28 June. The ESC's participation showed its active involvement in discussions and collaborations related to student identification and authentication.

"Erasmus+ days": Championing Spanish Higher Education

The ESC was also presented during the  "Erasmus+ days" on 28 June organised by the National Erasmus+ Agency of Spain (SEPIE) in Cartagena, Spain. The presentation (watch on Youtube) to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Spain was on the historical and legal perspective of the ESC, its objectives, and recent developments.

For HEIs already part of the ESC, the presentation offered insights into the adoption and deployment of the ESC in Spain, a significant country with approximately 81,000 active ESC users.
