Learning Agreements

The templates below are for information and preparation only

If you are a student planning your Erasmus+ mobility, please contact your higher education institution to make sure you use the correct type of learning agreement.

Individual higher education institutions provide information on the content of the learning agreements.

Purpose

The purpose of the Learning Agreement is to provide a transparent and efficient preparation of the exchange to make sure that students receive recognition for the activities successfully completed abroad.

The Learning Agreement sets out the programme of the studies or the traineeship to be followed abroad. It must be approved by the student, the sending and the receiving institution, organisation or enterprise before the start of the exchange.

As part of the European Student Card Initiative and the efforts to promote easier and more environmentally-friendly practices in Erasmus+, learning agreements are switching from a paper format to a digital format. The digital learning agreements are progressively being rolled out, starting with the learning agreement for intra-European student mobility for studies. A comprehensive user guide for Erasmus+ digital learning agreements is available.
