Erasmus+

EU programme for education, training, youth and sport

Highest ever number of events worldwide for Erasmus Days 2021

On 14, 15 and 16 October, the 5th edition of #ErasmusDays celebrated the Erasmus+ Programme, with 5,669 events, both digital and in-person, taking place in 65 countries all over world.

With the new Erasmus+ programme  launched in March 2021, this Erasmus Days edition focused on the programme’s new objectives and priorities: inclusion, environmental protection, digital transformation and participation in democratic life.

Thanks to the work done by Erasmus+ National Agencies and National Erasmus+ Offices in Europe and beyond, Erasmus+ success stories enjoyed great coverage on social media, from young people cleaning up a beach in France (link to Twitter) to students in Slovenia making a cake (link to Twitter) for the occasion.

Events were open to the public and included conferences, exhibitions, sports events, social media contests, festivals or podcasts. The organisers were Erasmus+ beneficiaries of all types, from schools and universities, to vocational education institutions and youth organisations.

To celebrate the beauty of this worldwide engagement for the Erasmus+ Programme, we have collected a series of stories in this Twitter Moment and made a video (watch on Vimeo) explaining how the Erasmus+ programme is managed.
