Activities funded

Funding to set up transnational networks on teaching about European Union subjects in schools and vocational education and training (VET) providers.

The funding supports activities that cannot be achieved at national level, as well as those with a multinational dimension.

Applicant requirements

Organisations must be schools, VET providers (ISCED 1 – 4), or higher education institutions, and be based in an Erasmus+ programme country.

A network must be composed of

• at least 6 organisations from at least 3 different Erasmus+ programme countries
• a minimum of 4 schools and/or VET providers (ISCED 1-4), and
• a maximum of 2 higher education institutions providing service training to school teachers and/or of VET institutions 

Programme countries are known as "EU Member States or countries associated to the Programme".

Duration

3 years.

Budget

Maximum grant per network: €300,000 (representing maximum 80% of total costs).

What is expected of providers

Providers should define the topics they will work on. These may include

• new or innovative ways to teach various EU subjects, including proposing new methodologies and creating tools to support learners
• exchange of good practices and experiences of teaching EU matters, including how they confront specific challenges

Staff involved in the networks may spend a few days at partner institutions to help organise or deliver co-tutoring sessions.

Calls for proposals are published on an annual basis.
