Turkey set to join the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes

The European Commission and Turkey have signed agreements granting association status for the period 2021-2027 to the Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps programmes.

This means that researchers, innovators, students, pupils, trainees, teachers, young people can now participate under the same conditions as participants from EU Member States.

Commissioner Gabriel and H.E. Faruk Kaymakcı, Ambassador, Director for EU Affairs and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed the agreements on 27 October. They further strengthen the alliance between the EU and Turkey to deliver on common priorities, such as the twin green and digital transition.
