All-inclusive for more accurate feedback

The first annual online European Student Card (ESC) survey attracted 5,703 participants from across the spectrum of users. The aim was to gather as wide feedback as possible to understand

  • your level of awareness of the ESC
  • how you are currently using it in your institution
  • the current state-of-play of the student cards' management and usage

Respondents came from

  • students (cardholders) – 81%
  • International Relations Officers (IRO) – 13%
  • Management officers – 4%
  • IT officers – 2%

Spain, Germany and Greece topped the list of countries that responded.

What we asked

The survey was tailored to each audience.

Students were asked questions on the usage of student cards, their mobility experience and the needs for online services.

Management staff responded to questions on the management of the ESC and student cards in general, as well as about the online services.

IROs provided insights on mobility management and the link between the usage of ESC within mobility students.

IT officers were asked about technical requirements of card management systems.

If you were one of the thousands who answered the survey, we want to say thank you!

How we’ll use your feedback

Your feedback will help us grow by helping us understand how well-known the ESC is, how widely it’s being used, and for what.

Most importantly, it will help us further develop a more suitable ESC for all the needs of cardholders and issuers so they can access services around Erasmus+ Programme countries.

How to join ESC

Don’t forget: only card issuers (e.g., Higher Education Institutions, student unions or other student groups) can register to the ESC-Router (ESC-R), which connects institutions to the ESC online.

If you would like to know more about how your Institution can join the ESC, check out our how to Join page.

We want to keep growing. Stay tuned to know more about what we are doing!
