I have had a long and fruitful relationship with Erasmus+ ever since I first applied for a volunteer position in 2006. When I was 24 years old, I participated as a leader in a youth exchange in Liverpool. Since 2016, I have been working as a coordinator of the International Mobility Service where I am responsible for organising Erasmus+ programme activities.

I have been involved with many projects and collaborated with organisations in Ireland, Romania, Spain and the Netherlands. Since 2021, the organisation I work for has strived hard to ensure that people in remote areas have greater access to Erasmus+ programmes. I was also involved in projects that increased mobility in the vocational education and training field, which allowed more than 200 young people to carry out professional internships. My role was to pilot partnerships with local training organisations and to provide advance planning visits. This helped me to consolidate partnerships and evaluate the conditions for learners.

Being a coordinator allows me to innovate, adapt and adjust to different and changing situations. I feel immense pride in having seen so many young people overcome obstacles to better themselves — gaining experiences in dynamic, new environments.

For me, Erasmus+ is a unique opportunity to learn about yourself, to learn about each other. It is a real window to the world!

It’s important to me that people have access to Erasmus+ programmes and opportunities, and I’ve been proud to help with awareness raising. As a coordinator of Erasmus+ actions I have increased access to opportunities such as job-shadowing, youth exchanges and training for youth workers. Erasmus+ has helped me to fulfil my goals while helping others!
