To join the European Student Card, you first need to identify the authorised representative in your organisation. This is the person who can officially act on its behalf to accept the legal documents related to the ESC digital platform - the ESC-Router.
Once identified, your organisation should take the following steps:
- The authorised representative registers to the ESC-Router using EU Login or MyAcademicID
- The authorised representative fills out an online registration form with the necessary data to request access to the ESC-Router
- The authorised representative reviews and accepts the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Statement and Joint Controllership Arrangement
- The helpdesk reviews the registration details, validates the information and sets the organisation’s status to “Active”
- The authorised representative receives a confirmation email to login and access the ESC-Router
- The authorised representative can now add other users, consult the technical documentation, generate an API token and manage the issuance process of European Student Cards
Besides issuing and managing European Student Cards, higher education institutions and student service providers registered to the ESC-Router can also access the ESC service manager to list the services they make available to ESC cardholders (students).
